Supplies

Every line arrives with the document the committee asks for.

Cables and electrical materials

The line where the paperwork goes wrong most often. Few people realise that cables are construction products under the CPR and need a DoP with a declared reaction-to-fire class — and the committee asks for it.

What we supply

If your item is not on the list, send it anyway — the list is a guide, not a limit.

Data and signal cables
LAN, coaxial, signalling, fire alarm
Distribution boards
ready-built and to configuration

Cable management
trays, trunking, conduit, flexible tubing
Earthing materials

Standards

The standard in the BoQ decides what can and cannot be delivered.

Which standards prove conformity?

We check which standard is written into the contract documents and confirm in writing that what we propose meets it. Where the written requirement does not exist on the market in that form, we say so before ordering, not after delivery.

Regulation (EU) 305/2011 and BDS EN 50575
Cables fall within the scope of the CPR. A DoP with a reaction-to-fire class is required — Aca, B1ca, B2ca, Cca, Dca, Eca or Fca.
HD 603 / HD 604
Harmonised documents for power cables with rated voltage up to 1 kV.
BDS EN 61439
Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies — the boards.
BDS EN 60598
Luminaires — general requirements and tests.
BDS EN 62305
Protection against lightning — principles and risk management.
Documents

A missing document is declared missing.

Which documents does the acceptance committee receive?

  • A DoP with the declared reaction-to-fire class for every cable type
  • EU declaration of conformity for switchgear and boards
  • Test reports
  • Technical data sheets with cross-section, core count and rated voltage

The documents arrive with the goods, organised line by line. We do not go looking for them once the committee asks.

Lead times

Indicative. A binding deadline is given only in a written quote.

Europe or Asia — which makes sense for this group?

Europe

Speed and documentation

Typical lead time
2–5 weeks for standard cross-sections; rarer types and long runs are made to order.

Asia

Price and volume

When it makes sense
Viable for luminaires, cable management and switchgear at volume. On cables themselves we require a proven CPR class before ordering — otherwise we don't take it on.
Getting started

What should you send to get a quote?

  • The cable schedule with cross-sections and lengths
  • The required reaction-to-fire class, if the design states one
  • The single-line diagram if boards need configuring
  • Delivery phases
Send the items and you will get a concrete answer within 48 hours. We charge the contractor nothing — our margin sits with the manufacturer. Send an enquiry
