Insulation, façade systems and roofing
On energy-efficiency and renovation works the document weighs as much as the material. The declared lambda value and the reaction-to-fire class are what the committee checks against the design.

Standards
The standard in the BoQ decides what can and cannot be delivered.
Which standards prove conformity?
We check which standard is written into the contract documents and confirm in writing that what we propose meets it. Where the written requirement does not exist on the market in that form, we say so before ordering, not after delivery.

- Thermal insulation products — factory made EPS. Declaration of lambda, density and strength.
- BDS EN 13164
- Thermal insulation products — factory made XPS.
- BDS EN 13162
- Thermal insulation products — factory made mineral wool.
- EAD for ETICS
- External thermal insulation composite systems are assessed as a system, not component by component — a European Assessment Document applies.
- BDS EN 13707 / EN 13956
- Flexible sheets for waterproofing — bituminous and plastic.
Documents
A missing document is declared missing.
Which documents does the acceptance committee receive?
- A DoP with the declared lambda value — it must match the design figure
- Reaction-to-fire class to BDS EN 13501-1
- A system certificate for ETICS, not only certificates for the individual components
- Bond strength and water absorption test reports
The documents arrive with the goods, organised line by line. We do not go looking for them once the committee asks.

- Applicable to membranes, fixings and metal roofing systems. Almost never to insulation boards — their volume makes the freight pointless.
