Supplies

Every line arrives with the document the committee asks for.

Water and sewerage — pipes, fittings and valves

The sector with the most public contracts after roads, and the strictest documentary requirements — particularly wherever the water is potable.

What we supply

If your item is not on the list, send it anyway — the list is a guide, not a limit.

What is in this group?

PE pipes
PE100 and PE100 RC for pressure mains, in coil and in straight lengths
PVC-U pipes
for gravity sewerage, with gasket, by ring stiffness class
Ductile iron pipes
for water supply mains
Valves
gate valves, stop valves, check valves, air valves
Fire hydrants
above ground and underground
Inspection manholes
polymer and concrete, with iron covers by load class
Pumps and pumping stations
for foul and clean water
Standards

The standard in the BoQ decides what can and cannot be delivered.

Which standards prove conformity?

We check which standard is written into the contract documents and confirm in writing that what we propose meets it. Where the written requirement does not exist on the market in that form, we say so before ordering, not after delivery.

BDS EN 12201
Plastics piping systems of PE for water supply, including water for human consumption.
BDS EN 1401
PVC-U systems for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage.
BDS EN 545
Ductile iron pipes and fittings for water pipelines.
BDS EN 1074
Valves for water supply — fitness for purpose requirements and verification tests.
BDS EN 124
Gully tops and manhole tops — load classes A15 to F900.
Documents

A missing document is declared missing.

Which documents does the acceptance committee receive?

  • DoP under Regulation 305/2011
  • Potable-water contact approval or certificate where the project requires it
  • Pressure test reports
  • Declared load class for covers and manholes

The documents arrive with the goods, organised line by line. We do not go looking for them once the committee asks.

Lead times

Indicative. A binding deadline is given only in a written quote.

Europe or Asia — which makes sense for this group?

Europe

Speed and documentation

Typical lead time
3–6 weeks for standard diameters; ductile iron pipes and large valves take longer and depend on the mill's production plan.

Asia

Price and volume

When it makes sense
Worth it for large uniform quantities of valves and fittings when the programme allows 10–14 weeks. Always with an approved sample and pre-shipment inspection.
Getting started

What should you send to get a quote?

  • The specification with diameters, pressure rating and material
  • Whether the main carries potable water
  • Quantities per line item
  • Date of first delivery to site
Send the items and you will get a concrete answer within 48 hours. We charge the contractor nothing — our margin sits with the manufacturer. Send an enquiry
