Supplies

Every line arrives with the document the committee asks for.

Machinery, tools and site equipment

The only group where we regularly advise against buying. If the machine will sit on site for two months, hire almost always beats owning it afterwards.

Standards

The standard in the BoQ decides what can and cannot be delivered.

Which standards prove conformity?

We check which standard is written into the contract documents and confirm in writing that what we propose meets it. Where the written requirement does not exist on the market in that form, we say so before ordering, not after delivery.

Directive 2006/42/EC
Machinery. Requires an EU declaration of conformity and instructions in the language of the country of use.
BDS EN 12811
Temporary works equipment — scaffolds.
BDS EN 12812
Falsework — performance requirements and general design.
BDS EN 60745 / EN 62841
Hand-held motor-operated electric tools — safety.
Directive 2000/14/EC
Noise emission by equipment for use outdoors.
Documents

A missing document is declared missing.

Which documents does the acceptance committee receive?

  • EU declaration of conformity
  • Operating manual in Bulgarian
  • Technical inspection record for hired machinery
  • Scaffold certificate and erection drawings

The documents arrive with the goods, organised line by line. We do not go looking for them once the committee asks.

Lead times

Indicative. A binding deadline is given only in a written quote.

Europe or Asia — which makes sense for this group?

Europe

Speed and documentation

Typical lead time
Stock equipment ships within days. Specialist machinery to order — 4–8 weeks.

Asia

Price and volume

When it makes sense
Applicable to tools and site equipment at volume. For machinery the European channel wins on service, parts and residual value.
Getting started

What should you send to get a quote?

  • What work is being done and over what period
  • Whether you prefer purchase or hire
  • Power availability and site access
  • Start and end dates of the requirement
Send the items and you will get a concrete answer within 48 hours. We charge the contractor nothing — our margin sits with the manufacturer. Send an enquiry
