Supplies

Every line arrives with the document the committee asks for.

Road materials, paving and road safety products

Road contracts are among the largest in the country. Much of the scope is standardised, which makes it well suited to consolidated delivery across several projects at once.

What we supply

If your item is not on the list, send it anyway — the list is a guide, not a limit.

Standards

The standard in the BoQ decides what can and cannot be delivered.

Which standards prove conformity?

We check which standard is written into the contract documents and confirm in writing that what we propose meets it. Where the written requirement does not exist on the market in that form, we say so before ordering, not after delivery.

BDS EN 13108
Bituminous mixtures — material specifications by mixture type.
BDS EN 1338 / 1339 / 1340
Concrete paving blocks, flags and kerb units — requirements and test methods.
BDS EN 1317
Road restraint systems — containment levels and impact severity classes.
BDS EN 12899-1
Fixed vertical road traffic signs.
BDS EN 1436
Road marking materials — performance requirements.
Documents

A missing document is declared missing.

Which documents does the acceptance committee receive?

  • DoP under Regulation 305/2011
  • Compressive strength and abrasion test reports for concrete units
  • Containment class for restraint systems
  • Retroreflective sheeting class for signs

The documents arrive with the goods, organised line by line. We do not go looking for them once the committee asks.

Lead times

Indicative. A binding deadline is given only in a written quote.

Europe or Asia — which makes sense for this group?

Europe

Speed and documentation

Typical lead time
Kerbs, slabs and blocks — 2–4 weeks from regional producers. Restraint systems and signage — 4–8 weeks, usually made to order.

Asia

Price and volume

When it makes sense
Worth considering for geosynthetics and the metal components of restraint systems at very large volume with a horizon beyond three months.
Getting started

What should you send to get a quote?

  • The BoQ lines with types and classes
  • Linear metres and areas
  • Containment class for barriers, if specified
  • Phasing by section
Send the items and you will get a concrete answer within 48 hours. We charge the contractor nothing — our margin sits with the manufacturer. Send an enquiry
